About the weekly tarot reading

A weekly tarot reading gives you a card for every day, so you can see the shape of the week before it starts. It works best as a planning tool: a card that points to effort suggests a day to do the hard task, and a quiet card suggests rest.

The days run from Monday to Sunday. Read the cards in order and then look at the summary: it shows whether the week is mostly active, emotional, practical or reflective, and how many cards are reversed. Reversed cards mark days where energy is more internal or blocked.

The 7 positions

  1. Monday. What sets the tone at the start of the week?
  2. Tuesday. What do you need to pay attention to?
  3. Wednesday. What is at the midpoint of the week?
  4. Thursday. What can help you move forward?
  5. Friday. What comes to a head as the week closes?
  6. Saturday. What should you make room for?
  7. Sunday. What do you take into the next week?

How to use this reading

Take a breath, think of the week ahead and choose seven cards. Read one card per day. If you start on a different day, simply read the first card as your first day.

Questions and answers

How do I do a weekly tarot reading?
Draw seven cards, one per day, and read them in order. Look for how the energy builds across the week.
Should I read all cards at once or one per day?
Either works. Reading them all at once helps you plan. Reading one per morning keeps the suspense and lets you compare the card with what actually happens.
What if I want only one card?
The card of the day gives a single card for today.
